Testimonials "I love your class. As much as the asanas, I love the language, the information. I like knowing that liver wants to get loud (something I don't allow very much), and that you can massage your liver by twisting and arcing in a certain way. I love the references to the heart, and all the smiling internally. And I love surrounding myself with the gentle and good people who come to your class". "What keeps me coming back to my yoga practice is the fact that the one and a half hours I spend with you Thursday morning is the time I feel the best all week. What keeps me coming back is the fact that when I'm doing yoga, even if it's the short 10 minutes I did in the Georgia hotel room this morning before getting on the motorcycle, my mind is free from the grips of compulsive thinking. I am peaceful and at ease, I am free!" "Kelly creates a relaxing environment for the practice of yoga: soft music and lighting, thick yoga sticky mats for the wood floors and rich purple wool blankets. Exuding a gentle confidence, Kelly sincerely welcomes each student into her home-based yoga studio. Before each class begins, Kelly reminds us to listen to the wisdom of the body and to go at our own pace. As we sit and become centered by breathing together, Kelly invites each of us to create an intention that will inspire and nurture our practice. Once centered, we then move through a series of warm-ups, attending to the joints and observing any areas of tension. Gradually, we explore the posture and breathing sequence that Kelly has created. Kelly’s patient instruction keeps me centered in my body, my energy, and my mind." "I appreciate how Kelly encourages us to move into our fullest experience of each asana (posture) by breathing consciously and using gentle self observation to stretch as deeply as possible. Before the end of each class, we rest quietly to absorb the effects of the yoga experience. During this time I feel as if I am really coming home to myself." "I have been reflecting on my yoga practice and feel it has made a huge difference in my life both on and off the mat, as you say. I’m stronger physically and mentally, more flexible and calm. And I remind myself it is better to touch the soul than the toes. Finding you and Good Yoga has truly blessed my life. When I practice at home, I hear your voice guiding me along, reminding me to breathe and not push too hard. I am so very thankful for you! Your light shines bright and warms us all!" "Tuesday was a great class - as always. I really like it when you make a visual connection between the poses and a similar action - for example, pretend you have a strawberry on your toe and dip it in chocolate, or stir the air with your hands. This gives me such clarity about forming the pose and it helps me to remember these poses so that I can do them at which I like. Thanks for being such a sincere teacher and bringing laughter and a sweet nature to class." |
